Welcome

On behalf of the National Soul Line Dance Association, I want to invite you to join.  We are currently soliciting members Domestically and Internationally.   We intend to expand the Association into other metropolitan areas throughout the United States and eventually the world.  The purpose of the organization is to perpetuate Soul Line Dancing in African American communities.  There is nothing more beautiful than the concentrated power of Soul Line dancing and there is nothing greater than passing on the history of the art form to the community and the world. The central purpose of the Association is to preserve, educate, and promote the African American art form of Soul Line dance.

We demonstrate Soul Line Dancing at special events and in schools, as well as provide a vehicle for disseminating information regarding the history of the Soul Line Dance.  The Association will take Soul Line dancing to a new generation through the schools and teach the youth of the community about the dance tradition and those who made it so popular.  The Association will also chronicle the history of Soul Line dancing through video, photographs, written and oral histories, thus ensuring the preservation and availability of this important information.

In corresponding with various soul line dancers and instructors from California, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Oklahoma, Arizona,  Baltimore and Philadelphia, I would like to report the following amazing soul line dance facts:  FACT 1:  as a result of line dancing, soul line dancers have lost weight, reduced their stress and cholesterol levels, lowered their blood pressure and hardly every get colds; FACT 2:  soul line dancers come in all colors, shapes and sizes and we have incredibly high IQs.  And FACT 3:  it is spreading like a virus!

Again, I cordially invite you to join with us in this exciting and dynamic association.  We look forward to the continued growth and community acceptance of the Association and hope you will join us in pursuing its important mission.   For more information about the National  Soul Line Dance Association (NSLDA), please feel free to contact me at (650) 355-9450/800-651-4440, or email us at  LeeJamesSR@Aol.com.

                                            Sincerely Yours,
